Social Distancing Guidelines

Arrival in the Car Park

  • Golfers should travel to the Club alone or with a member of the same household
  • Arrive at the Club no more than 15 minutes before your tee time
  • Leave a one space gap between cars when parking
  • Arrive at the Club in your golfing attire and change your shoes in the car park
  • Do not gather in the car park and ensure you remain at least 2 metres away from other golfers
  • Make your way straight to the check-in point no more than 10 minutes before your tee time

Checking In

  • All members must check-in for their round in the Pro Shop
  • The Pro Shop will be open from 07.00-18.00 every day
  • Entry into the Pro Shop will be limited to 1 person at a time and you will not be able to enter beyond the check-in area at the entrance to the shop
  • All sales will be by member account or card payment only
  • Whilst waiting to check-in, please wait in the waiting area outside the shop which will be clearly marked out
  • Once you have checked in for your round, please make your way straight to the tee waiting area and only proceed to the tee when it is clear of the group in front

Changing Rooms

  • The changing rooms will be accessible from the external doors but only to use the loos (no changing of clothes/shoes, showering or accessing lockers will be permitted)
  • Doors will be propped open during Club opening hours to minimise contact areas so please do not leave anything in the changing rooms
  • If you require anything from your locker, please contact the Club in advance to arrange access. Please note, it will not be possible to store any items back in the locker after your round. All equipment will need to be taken home.

Hiring Buggies & Trollies

  • Buggies & trollies will be available to hire but must only be used by one person throughout the round
  • Members are not permitted to retrieve their own buggy from the buggy store
  • There will be a separate pick-up and drop-off point for the buggies and trollies
    • Pick-up location: Area opposite Pro Shop
    • Drop-off location: Along the path by the entrance to the gym
  • After your round, please return your buggy/trolley to the drop-off area and do not remove the buggy key or trolley handle

Warm-up Facilities

  • The chipping and putting greens are now open for practice but the warm-up nets will remain closed whilst the new short-game practice area is under construction.

During your Round

  • Social golf only will be permitted until 4th July
  • Please adhere to social distancing measures at all times
  • Only one person to be on the tee box at any one time
  • Remain at least 2 metres away from your playing partner and any other groups on the course
  • Please keep to a good speed of play – allow faster groups to play through
  • Flagsticks will remain in place but MUST NOT be removed from the hole or touched at any time
  • Please use the ball lifter mechanisms installed on the flagsticks to retrieve the ball from the hole
  • All bunkers are GUR
  • All course furniture including benches are not to be used
  • The water fountain has been turned off and all ball washers removed from the course
  • Make sure your golf ball is easily identifiable so there is no need to pick it up to check
  • Do not touch your playing partner’s equipment or golf ball. If you find any equipment left on the course, please do not touch it.
  • Do not approach any staff you may encounter on the course – a polite wave from a safe distance will be sufficient
  • Players must refrain from handshakes, high-fives or any other contact with their playing partner

After your round

  • The shoe cleaner will not be in operation
  • Make your way straight back to your car adhering to social distancing requirements with other golfers leaving or arriving at the Club
  • Please refrain from the temptation to mingle with other members
  • Please take all golf equipment home with you. Access to the changing rooms will not be permitted for lockers
  • We advise all members to clean their clubs after each round when they return home

It is essential that members adhere to these measures as requested. Any member(s) found not adhering to these requirements may have their playing rights temporarily suspended.

The requirements detailed above will be in place during Phase 1 of our re-opening. We will closely monitor these requirements in practice alongside tee sheet availability and guidance from the government and the sport’s governing bodies before deciding when to move to the next phase of restriction easing. Currently, we are thinking the next phasing of re-opening will include:

Phase 2

  • Members able to play a full 18 holes
  • Increased booking window
  • Members may be able to bring guests along
  • Members may be able to book more rounds per week
  • Tee time group size may increase to 3 or 4 balls
  • Takeaway service from the Halfway Hut will be available

Phase 3

  • Changing room access may include locker usage
  • Practice/warm-up facilities opening in some capacity
  • Socially distanced golf coaching may be available

Golf is returning at last but its initial resumption will not be Badgemore Park as we know and love it, however we hope you manage to come along and enjoy some fun golf, while we ease back towards a form of normality.
