Golf Course Re-opening

We are delighted to confirm that the following changes to course access will be implemented over the coming days:
From Saturday 16th May:
All members will be able to play 18 holes if they wish. The number of times a member is able to play per week will increase from 2 to 3 meaning anyone who has booked/played their two rounds for this week already, will have the ability to book another round over the weekend (subject to membership category). The booking window will increase from 3 days to 7 days.
From Sunday 17th May:
All play will be from the first tee. All members will be able to bring a guest along to play but you will need to ensure they abide by the Club and Government social distancing guideline/protocols in place. This guest does not have to be from the same household
When booking a round with your guest, please make sure you input their name and details into the booking system so we know who is arriving at the club. This must be done in advance.

  • Do not approach any staff you may encounter on the course – a polite wave from a safe distance will be sufficient

  • We advise all members to clean their clubs after each round when they return home

It is essential that members adhere to these measures as requested. Any member(s) found not adhering to these requirements may have their playing rights temporarily suspended.

The requirements detailed above will be in place during Phase 1 of our re-opening. We will closely monitor these requirements in practice alongside tee sheet availability and guidance from the government and the sport’s governing bodies before deciding when to move to the next phase of restriction easing. Currently, we are thinking the next phasing of re-opening will include:

Phase 2

  • Members able to play a full 18 holes
  • Increased booking window
  • Members may be able to bring guests along
  • Members may be able to book more rounds per week
  • Tee time group size may increase to 3 or 4 balls
  • Takeaway service from the Halfway Hut will be available

Phase 3

  • Changing room access may include locker usage
  • Practice/warm-up facilities opening in some capacity
  • Socially distanced golf coaching may be available

Golf is returning at last but its initial resumption will not be Badgemore Park as we know and love it, however we hope you manage to come along and enjoy some fun golf, while we ease back towards a form of normality.
